There's Marlo Rose Kenneth: pretty, rich, and American. Then there's Ezra Pierce: just British and decent as considered. They're two different people from two different halves of the world with different experiences.

When Marlo's world comes crashing down on a fieldtrip with her senior class to the one and only, Paris, France, she then lands in the arms of an angel, who miraculously and accidentally saves her life; Ezra. He never expected himself to be hit by a beautiful girl falling from the sky, but when it happens, he finds himself spiritual, mentally, and almost physically attached to her. Even after being separated by the waters on two different halves of the world again, he makes his way back to this girl.

How will these two different worlds collide?

Ever since her dad mysteriously abandoned her family, life on the Clifton Estate hasn't been all that exciting for 16-year-old Marla True. Her Mum constantly works to make ends meet, which means Marla has to put up with gossipy old Bev keeping an eye on her and noisy little half-sister Ribbon. If that wasn't bad enough, her exam results are in... and they aren't good. But at least she has her friends. Asher, the responsible and strong boy who has known her all her life and Ed, the orphaned rebel who loves to stir up trouble. Then there's her, Marla, stubborn, fiery and just plain lost. Or hurt her? When the bored trio decide to teach the creepy old man it's rude to scare young girls, they learn far too late just how crucial it is to respect your elders. For his daughter, Bridget, has a power unlike anything they've ever seen before and she uses her deadly craft to send them to a place that will teach them the lesson of their lifetime. Bridget has sent them back in time, all the way to World War Two, throwing them into a secret fight for the survival of all magical folk in the world. Marla soon learns what it really means to be a True, and the power her absent father has kept from her all her life... Marla, Ed and Asher are thrown into a world they and their generation have no comprehension of, a world where love is a relic of a life left behind and your only duty is sacrificing all that you have. These three friends are about to learn about a side of World War Two that never made the history books. ***I can't take credit for the artwork, it's called A BREAK IN REALITY and it's by the AMAZINGLY talented Xenobyte on deviantart. Don't say I didn't warn you. Okay, I wrote this at the start of this year (may 2016) and I had very poor writing skills. This book hasn't been edited and the whole idea is cliche so I wouldn't recommend you read it but I'm not stopping you, either. Read at your own risk. • • • Copyright © 2017 by -moonlust. "Fuck." He whispers into my neck, sending a thrill of excitement through my body. His lips still smothered kisses over my neck and his hands roamed my body, starting at my chest, going down to my stomach. Caressing my soft skin, his thumb trailed circles on my groin before slightly slipping into the waistband of my jeans. My breath catches in my throat as I pull at the hoodie that covered his chiselled body. Understanding, Jacob pulls it off in one swift movement before attaching his lips back on my neck. Sucking and biting it before flicking his tongue over the sore spot. A quiet moan leaves my mouth and I clasp my hand over it, denying any noise to escape. "You drive me fucking crazy, Aria." ---------------------------- Aria Bailey finds it hard to fit in. Her parents are always busy and never have time for her. She lives alone at her family home and has top grades in all of her classes. But being a 17 year old friendless nerd comes with its disadvantages. Ainsley Caree Hudson didn't have a typical childhood; at eight years old she was the victim of abusive parents who didn't care about her, what happened to her or who did what to her. Until one night a man came in and rescued her. She asked his name and he told her it was "G" and then she asked him if he was an angel; he told her if that's what she needed he would be her angel. Her parents had tried to sell her to "G" to get out of debt and this angered the man so, that he took her away from there and had her parents killed. He placed her in a loving home with a forged birth certificate and told her to grow up and make something of herself. Twenty-two years later, she was an emergency room doctor at a hospital in Philadelphia and as fate would have it, her path would cross with her angel again but just not in the way you would think. Would this angel be able to help her deal with the night terrors, help her learn to love and in return find salvation in her arms? Would she be able to look past his dangerous lifestyle enough to let him in? Only time would tell. Join Ainsley as she inadvertently goes deep into the Mafia to discover it's nothing like the movies.
