Some guys are smooth, unreadable-dangerous in a way that makes your pulse do things it shouldn't. But hey, who doesn't have a little emotional damage these days? Then the weird stuff starts. The calls. The messages. The undeniable feeling that someone's watching you. Totally normal, right? (Wrong.) A Forever That Lasted
"Everything I need is here," he whispered in my ear. I looked into his eyes, only to see me in them. He pulled me closer; we were just inches away from each other his breath was fanning my face. I could hear our heart beat in a rhythm, being this close to him; I could feel his heart hammering in his chest. His grip tightened around my waist as he placed his other hand on my cheek. My hands were on his chest, holding his shirt which seemed like my only support as my knees felt like jelly! It seemed so magical. We were so lost in each other, he leaned closer and my eyes shut automatically. I'm tired of running. I just wanna spend my life with someone I love and someone that loves me the same. I've been in foster care for a while now, always escaping but this couple comes out of the blue without even meeting me and takes me in. This man doesn't even look old enough to adopt me. My life was not perfect, but as a kid I'd like to think it was great. I know things don't always stay the way they are since tragedy struck and now I have no one. I'm 16 and in the system, people like us don't usually get out we don't usually get looked at twice anymore, but sometimes it just happens. Everything started the night before we moved out of our town. I decided to take a late night swim at the lake I love the most. It was sort of a goodbye, a way to somehow wash the pain brought about by my parents' divorce, but then he appeared. As I was floating in the lake, watching the moon and the stars, I heard a noise in the water, and as I turned my head, I saw this guy drowning. I saved him, I brought him back to life, and then... I kissed him and fell in love with him. Things changed after that one stolen kiss. I ran away, and I never thought that I would see him once again, but I did.
