Hello. My name is Henry. Yes I am Asian. I have one thing that makes me stick out from the crowd.
I was born deaf.
Now I know that doesn't mean much. Well actually, it does. I was born without the ability to hear noises, sounds, hear the newspaper page flip. I was born without the ability to hear my mother talk. All these things most people take for granted.
I found people don't judge me online. I met this girl. Ah, she is my best friend, but she doesn't know. How do you think she'll react? Maybe she won't accept me anymore. This is my story.

Even if I am a billionaire now, mom and I usually talk but dad is still hard on me. He didn't want me living away from home at the age of twenty five, and wasting away my money to some girl or women who only wanted my fame, fortune but not the real me, as what he always say, the last time he talked to me, which was five years ago. But I liked the attention, the fake loves or smiles, but it changed when I swerved my car down an alley and saw a girl walking, swaying like she's drunk or didn't care what happens to her. The Silent Melody
The world is loud. There are those who make no sound. Billions of people on the planet, some make no sound, some hear no sounds, and some don't see what's making the sound. Humans take their voice for granted, they don't realize what it's like not to be able to say what you're thinking. Humans don't realize what it's like not to be able to listen to the world. They don't realize what it's like not to be able to look at the stars and see the beauty in the sky. I can see, I can hear, but what I can't do is speak for myself. My own silence is deafening. *Pardon my word choice.* I've never been able to speak, as soon as I was able I was sent to learn ASL (American Sign Language). I was then sent to regular public school and I love it, the sounds of the students talking. Being able to be a regular person, well, as close to regular as I can be without talking. My name is Rosalyn, I've never breathed a word. Silence is easy when all you can give are ASL signs and not many people understand them. I'm just like everyone else. I have a celebrity crush. I have a favorite book (It's Lock and Key by Sarah Dessen). I have a favorite color (It's a silvery blue). I have a story to tell just like you. I get made fun of because I can't speak. I asked no one in particular. I rubbed my head with my eyes shut to ease the pain that shot through my head. The sound of laughter made me freeze with my hand on my head. I opened my eyes, slowly. Three handsome boys were staring at me. No, two of the boys were trying to stifle a smile while one of the boys was staring blankly at me. Rude much? It seemed he was the one I hit and not a wall. Thanks Mary for stating the obvious. I stared at his chest probably because he was taller than I am and I had to look up to meet his face. His abs were visible through the blue shirt he wore. Staring at abs in this situation. Oh God! I'm weird. "First you get to be called a wall, interesting. And now, she is checking you out. It isn't fair. Why do you always get the beautiful ones?" One of the boys groaned. I blushed. I was checking a guy out. Wait, What? Did I just blush? Kill me! "I- I m seery, I debt mean to hat you." What did I just say? This couldn't get any worse. The boys looked shocked even the mute handsome boy looked a little bit surprised. Why did I keep calling him handsome? "I-I'm s-sorry I h-hit you, I d-didn't mean to," that sounded better. "Oh," one of the boys said. Oh! Indeed. I was expecting a reply, but the handsome boy in front of me refused to talk. Is he dumb or deaf? "I am Tom. People say you don't really know what true love is at sixteen. Well I knew well before that, I knew from the age of eleven that Jackson carter was the one for me. Jackson was my older brothers best friend and also four years older then me. I First met him when I went to visit my mum and brother in America he was like a god he was so beautiful but as an eleven year old toothless girl I was invisible to him. Over the years and with many more visits we became close, well as close as you can to your brothers best friend, I would follow them around wherever they would go. My brother was so protected of me and all his friends became like brothers except Jackson my feelings for Jackson grew over the years. Now I'm sixteen I've grown I'm not the little toothless girl or the little girl who followed them around. My life has changed I have changed but one thing that hasn't is my love for Jackson. Unfortunately for me Jackson doesn't see me anything more then his best friends little sister. Now I've come to live with my mum who doesn't even give a shit about me after the death of my dad.My life is going downhill fast and I'm hoping Adam can pull me back up. Nothing is easy,life is hard and at sixteen I've seen enough hardship to last me a lifetime.I want to be happy, I want to live I don't want to drown anymore. Will my brother be able to save me? Mama told me that I was a beautiful girl when I was little. Mama said that I had the prettiest tan skin, soft wavy black hair, and the most enchanting emerald eyes. She always called me her bundle of joy. Then she got very sad when she told me that I didn't have a voice. I was only two at the time. I didn't understand any of the former English gibberish. Mama looked like she wanted to cry every time I opened my mouth to let out what was supposed to be a small giggle of joy. Or when I wanted to say her name and Papa's name.
