I CHOSE LOVE

" Don't touch me you freak ." I shoved him into the river and ran . I wasn't going to let my father's greed for wealth destroy my life . I didn't love this man and i wasn't about to marry him , i rather throw myself off a cliff.

" You will pay for that you bitch." He stood up and charged after me but i wasn't going to just stand there and let him hit me so i ran.

Ran as fast as the African cheetah through the forbidden forest . The forest that my father forbade me to go into to fetch firewood despite the it being filled with them.

" If i may ask. Where did you learn to speak fluent English like this ? " The white man asked as he added firewood to the fire.

" From my father. He studied abroad and came back with a degree." I grabbed the blanket he gave me and covered myself up from the cold.

" Were you following me you creep? "

" Really! That's what I get from you after saving your life ?"

" What do you want me to do? Bow down and praise you ."

" I'm done. Get eaten for all I care . You're just to rude for me to deal with. I pity your husband. " He turned and started heading back home.

The story is about a beautiful African lady who fell in love with a white man which was forbidden in her village. Her father had already chosen a husband for her and he wasn't going to let her disobey him or disgrace him.
