Inside they find Keith, but not their Keith. This Keith is Altean from an alternate reality where he was the protector of his Prince, Lance.

Lance is living a tranquil life alone on his own farm, looking after his animals and spreading a message of universal peace, when his Altean marks start acting strangely. Then something comes along to shake up his tranquility. (Spoiler: it's Keith.) -- The story is set a couple of years after Season 8, and is meant to be canon-compliant. If you were hoping Voltron would finish with a Klance endgame, this story could be for you. :-) There'll be 5 parts, about 10K words.

~*Klance*~ ●~●~●~● Upon Gaining a new sickness from a small planet, Keith becomes deathly Ill, weakening his body to the point he can no longer contain his Galra side. He fears he will hurt someone he loves and cares for. He fears Love... he fears loving... He begins having feelings for someone, and doesn't know how to explain, control, or act to it. What will he do? How will he fix what he's feeling, what's happened... can this be a good ending for Keith?

when Keith comes back from the Galra empire, he figures he has to find himself a place to live. unable to find a satisfactory place to live, he travels from hotel to hotel in the hopes of finding somewhere. on his travels in Japan, he bumps into an all too familiar friend who asks Keith to live with him until he finds a place. does Keith really want to leave Lance again? or does Keith like Lance more than he originally anticipated?

When a mission goes terribly wrong, Keith is captured and raped by the Galra. Together with support from the team, and Lance-- who has a healing touch-- Keith attempts to recover.
