Leah Johnson had it all- the hot boyfriend, straight As and a great job. She was on the path to success and happiness. But one dire week at the end of May causes all this happiness to shatter. She gets dumped, fails her exams and loses her jobs. Leah isn't the only one struggling with a fall from grace. Her step father, Andy Davis, is having a mid life crisis of his own. He is in between jobs and is having a hard time dealing with the fact he isn't getting any younger. Thus leading him to come to the idea that he and Leah should go on trip around the coast of the USA and Mexico. For the duration of the trip there are highs and lows and things that used to be avoided but in the end strengthens the bond between step father and daughter.
