"Why are you doing this to yourself? Why hide away from something that makes you happy?" His blue eyes bore into me, practically swimming with confusion. "This is your second chance, you nearly died!"

"You're right." My voice was soft as I wrapped my arms around myself, as though they were the only things keeping me together. "I nearly died. I should of died, just like Percy did. That's twice in three years. Who's to say there won't be a third? One that actually does kill me? I'm not dragging him into this, I won't."

Bethany Watley has never had an easy life, certainly not in her short time as a resident at Seattle Grace Hospital- no, wait, Seattle Grace Mercy West Hospital. While she's made many friends since her arrival to the rainy city, she's also faced more losses then she ever thought she would.
