As Moxie travels to Denver for Mollys funeral, fate brings him and Lynn together on a subway. After Lynn escaped her mother's abuse, she finds herself stuck in another cycle of abuse with her boyfriend, Leo. Emilee can read emotions like books. Matt can't read at all because he's blind as fuck. Both riddled with self-hatred, anger and frustration, they somehow manage to become best friends, even though their personalities clash worse than plaid and polka-dots. I tell her I think she should talk to him. I mean, why not, she seems like a nice girl.” That's how it all starts, a few friendly words. Nothing you think twice about, something you just say. Maja could never imagine what would come out of it. Hurtful words, broken hearts, destroyed friendships. Vegard says yes to one date with the girl when she convinces him that Maja told her to ask him out. Instead of asking Maja if it is so, he just acts hurt and childish, thinking that Maja doesn't care about him, and gets caught up in an abusive relationship with a fatal outcome. This is the story of an abused teenage girl, Maddie. Her need to die has become overwhelming and she is trying to find a way to help herself before she does something she may regret. The story is told from her point of view as she recalls all that has happened to her. Maybe telling her story will help her, maybe not. This isn't just any other sob story. This is more realistic. You may even find yourself comparing your life to Maddie's while reading this story. Disclosure: I wrote this as a 13-year-old and the writing is definitely not up to my current standards, but I feel as though changing what I have already written would take away from the emotion I put into this story at 13 years old.
