Fairy Tales are more than just imaginary when you are living on the other side of our world. Unknown to the average being, magic, vampires, sprites and other mystical creatures are part of our everyday lives. Yet, such a thing is considered 'taboo' which makes that part of society hidden from all the rest.

Katherine Marlin, like any other teenager, has her secrets. However, unlike most, her secret is a rather sensitive subject. Witches are supposed to be just part of "fairy tales" after all. As she learns to embrace her true nature, Kat tries to live the normal "high school life", yet things never do end up the way you always want them to.

Book 1 of (The Awakening Series) {#1 Supernatural} {#1 Paranormal} {#1 Lycans} {#1 Vampire Romance} {#5 Royalty} The world went to shit long before I was born. Humans like me use to believe other species were nothing more than fictional characters, myths, or figures of one's imagination. But that was before vampires left the shadows and decided to reveal their species to the world. I've been told that teenage girls use to fantasize about being swooshed off their feet by those mysterious creatures. Insane. Matter of fact, insane would be an understatement, they were fucking lunatics. Vampires are not some fictional character that would love you like no other. No, vampires are not some sort of myth, and they most certainly are not, a figment of anyone's imagination. They are very real, and they despise the human race. In fact, they have enslaved my entire species and formed a new world. Each continent is owned by a ruthless, bloodsucking, barbaric, the vampire king. Every single one of them has played a part in the war of the awakening, showing no mercy, killing without question. Humans didn't even stand a chance. Our army and world leaders were killed or imprisoned in less than a couple of days. They slaughtered my race, but it didn't stop there. No, that was only the beginning of human suffering. Trust me when I say the death was truly a kindness, because anyone who survived the awakening, would beg for death. I was positive that my suffering would come to an end when I turned eighteen. I was hoping and praying to be marked as a feeder, nothing more, nothing less. Death was the only way out of this world. You see, all of the kings who ruled over the earth were cruel and calculating. They are all tyrants in their own right and they all answered to one vampire. Who was known as the most barbaric of them all and I was marked as his chosen. The King of all Vampire Kings. I lost all track of time as I lay there in agony. Why hadn’t anyone come looking for me? I sensed a change in the burning, and then slowly the burning seemed to retract from my fingers and toes. The difference was so extremely small that I could hardly tell it was there. But sure enough the difference slowly became larger. Soon my hands and my feet were free, then my legs and arms. Every centimeter that the burning retracted the fire in my heart intensified. The burning kept retreating until it only remained in my heart. My heart stuttered once and a few moments later it stuttered once more, then it stopped. The pain subsided and I noticed that the pain I had before the burning was gone. I sat up and opened my eyes. Everything was clear as crystal! I could see that my cell was a small room around seven feet by five feet with the table I was laying on smack dab in the middle. A sudden need to escape overcame me and I went straight to the door. I grasped the handle and yanked, hard. The door ripped out of the wall. Amazed with my new found strength I set the door down and put it back in place after I had stepped out. How did this happen? Before I even finished the thought, I knew. James had turned me into a vampire. I tried to remember what had happened. I remember coming to Phoenix and I remembered finding the connection between James and the ballet studio…oh god! Bella! I rushed up the stairs to the main level. I zipped through the corridors looking for the door. Almost there when a flash of something caught my eye. I backtracked and saw that it was a mirror. I look in to see my reflection. I gasped.

The Sleeping Girl

26 parts Complete

Every five hundred years, a girl goes to sleep to channel the Earth's natural, light magic, and help her society fight off dark magic. Without her slumber, dark creatures such as vampires, werewolves, dark fey, sprites, and witches, would take over the world. Keela is the sixth Sleeping Girl, and has just awoken to learn that there is no Girl ready to replace her in slumber. If another Girl does not go to sleep within one week, society will be unable to fight off dark magic, and the world will fall to ruin. Led by her glowing mark that signifies who she is, and aided by members of her magical society, Keela must search through a world vastly different from the one she grew up in, battling all sorts of dark creatures to find the next Girl before it's too late. --- #865 in Fantasy 7/6/16
