In the alternate world of Zextral, summoning beings from another reality is an everyday occurrence- At least, for the Summoners. Trace Redfate was a talentless young man. After witnessing the destruction of his hometown, Lumen, he roamed the world as a vengeful soul, honing his skills in hope of avenging his family and friends. In his journey, he found a Tome which grants him knowledge. When he breathed his last in the battle against the unknown Aesir, the Tome sent him back to when he was 15, when the destruction of his city was still years away. With the experience he acquired from traveling and the wisdom given to him by the Tome, Trace Redfate became an unstoppable force.
