It's the historical gem war and only a handful of crystal gems remained. The Diamond Authority had saved everyone they needed to, so they all sang in harmony, triggering the corruption wave to form and spread across the horizon. An injured Rose Quartz tried to save Garnet, Amethyst and Pearl, but was so weak that her shield wouldn't form. In the end, only one gem remained among millions of other creatures: Amethyst.

Years after, Amethyst still wants justice. Old prophecies rumour of a Diamond's tears being the cure for a shattered gem, and Amethyst can't see any other option. She wants her friends back, she wants there to be life again, and most importantly,

She wants answers.
