Broken.
To some people it means depressed, lonely or simply sad.
To Katelyn, it meant not being able to trust anyone, to hide every emotion you feel behind a smile, to act okay when everything around you is breaking apart. That's how she felt...
...until he fixed her.
This is a story about Katelyn Jones, an average teenage girl with a hidden past. Her plan was simple; Finish school without drawing any attention to herself. Little did she know, the bad boy was going to crash into her agenda without any warning. She never wanted him to enter her life, and definitely not after her "perfect" boyfriend just cheated on her. She wasn't willing to trust anyone after what happened, but, of course, the bad boy had too much of an ego to just let it go. It didn't matter what she wanted. He wanted something and he wasn't going to stop until he got it.
Katelyn was kind, smart, gorgeous, funny and very sarcastic. Then, there's the bad boy, Nathan Collins. He was you're typical bad boy; dresses in leather, drinks almost every night, and a total manwhore.
They were completely different.
But who said different was a bad thing?
He was cocky, she was sarcastic.
He was a player, she was a nobody.
He was the darkness, she was his light.
She was everything he wanted, but couldn't have.
What happens when the bad boy sets his eyes on her?
What happens when she finds out his secret?
Will he fight for her or leave before the battle's begun?
She never liked him and he never noticed her. Well, until now...
"I caught her staring at me that day and ever since then, I couldn't keep my eyes off her."
She's rich, the perfect student, and graduating early.
He's a heathen, a heartbreaker, and well he may never graduate...
These all might be true, but with every fact, there is a detail to be explained. When people can be seen below the surface of their persona your whole view of them and their lives change. Axel thinks he's a hardass, huh? Well so does Victoria. So which one knows - How to Steal a Heart?
╰┈➤ a taste
"I'm a mess," I shake my head, "Apparently a mess only you can see,"
"Only because I'm looking," He gestures to his eyes. "I see you, there's nothing wrong with seeing you."
I completely shift myself to look at Axel. I sat in front of him as he looked down at me. This is the Axel that has me wrapped around his finger. Not the fighter, not the bad boy. The compassionate, well-spoken, devoted, Axel Stone that is sitting in front of me.
So when the story comes out of my inevitable demise - know that it was Axel Stone's words that slain me. Not his persona or his larger-than-life muscles -even though those are very nice- it was the way he cared for me. The way he set a fire in my soul, a flame to my heart. The way he anchored me.
