Diamond has been in trouble too many times to count. She has a big mouth that she can't seem to control, and acts too grown in a bad way. When her parents have the last straw of her shenanigans, they send her to Wilmer's Shore to stay with her grandparents for the summer.

Wilmer's Shore-population 1,07-is a small town located near the southern coast of Florida. Nothing grand ever happens in Wilmer's Shore, besides the amount of tourists in the summer. Diamond is expected to work at her grandparent's store for that reason.

Baylor Jennings is a country boy at heart. He is charming and has rather satisfying southern accent that makes all the ladies swoon. He is visiting his grandfather for a little while, which he does every summer.

The two teenagers come into each other's lives and they slowly fall for each other. They also discover who they are. It is something wonderful. It is something much more than a summer fling.
