Violet Walsh lived in the moment. She was the kind of girl that sought adventures, the type of person that craved the thrill. She was a social butterfly at Liberty High, friends with almost everyone-especially the unpredictable mess that made up Hannah Baker.
Hannah was the new girl in town, and Violet took it upon herself to make sure she felt welcomed. They instantly clicked and soon became best friends, but months later drifted apart. They were always friendly with one another after that, but things were never the same. Violet always felt like something was missing from her, seeing Hannah almost everyday in the school halls without so much as a simple greeting. She just wanted to make things right.
But when Hannah was found dead in her bathtub, drenched in her own blood with colossal slashes etched into her wrists, and a box of cassette tapes were delivered to Violet's door, everything came crashing down and Violet knew that it was too late.
