Summer, seventeen, fresh out of high school (she graduated early) locks herself in her room until dusk, when she suspiciously leaves the house until sometime between dawn and noon the next day. Her parents can't stop her without using force, and she won't talk to them, won't listen to them, won't do anything but stare at them with condemning grey eyes.
