After years of yearning for it, Poppy finally obtains her driver's license. And her freedom.
She plans to leave as soon as possible in her car that she took two years to build with the help of her best friend Gregor's mechanic dad. Away from her horrific life at what she should call "home", but what feels more like a prison.
Together, Poppy and Gregor leave towards the road trip that will bring Poppy's freedom.
