Viktor Nikiforov is an artist who is struggling to find inspiration. Yuri Katsuki is also an artist, but he prefers to keep his talent hidden. While exploring Hatsetsu one afternoon, Viktor stumbles upon Yuri's private studio. It takes some maneuvering and a lot of trespassing, but Viktor finds his way in. Once inside the other artist's creative space, Viktor discovers the most amazing work he'd ever seen. All of Yuri's works evoke a strong emotion in Viktor and he cannot put his finger on why. Against his better judgement, Viktor hangs around the studio in hopes of meeting the artist. Yuri returns some time later, displeased to find Viktor. There's a reason as to why Yuri's work can touch Viktor as it does; Yuri has the unique ability to recreate their subject's memories in vivid detail, without knowing as much as a first name. Yuri can't turn it off, or choose what memories he creates, good or bad. It's a power he's had since he was young and he doesn't want anyone to find out about it. Frankly, Yuri finds his power to be a burden
