Throughout half of her life with Gray, she's a white wolf with light blue markings. She has magic but can't control it. Later on in the story, you'll find out Calena is more than an Ice Wolf, but I'm not spoiling any more of the story. Calena did get split from her sister at a very young age. Her sister hid Calena and got taken to Paradise Tower. As Calena grows up in Fairy Tail she becomes best friends with Loki. They both keep a secret and grow close until the day Lucy joins Fairy Tail.
