Catalina is an orphaned wolf under the care of her adoptive older brother Adrian.
Being the youngest recruit to Triton Pack's guard is proving itself to be a challenge. Especially when the future Beta doesn't believe she belongs, and seems he hates her more with every passing day. It doesn't help when the current Alpha declares her as a favorite for his son. But Catalina doesn't want the luna title. Knowing it means giving up the life she had worked so hard for.
Things take a turn for the worse when a simple training exercise goes horribly wrong. In an attempt to save the life of one of her own, she kills an innocent human that went deep into the forest looking for a trophy. Unknown to her a Werewolf Hunter was watching them from a distance.
Suddenly a bounty is called for Catalina's head. The leaders of the Hunters is demanding her life for the avoidance of war. And even if the Alpha refuses how long until the Hunters come knocking on territory walls.
