HIGHEST RANK #59 IN CHICKLIT.

Ambrosia Sánchez's honeymoon should be spent laying on the silky sands of Barbados, drinking cocktails as she looks out on the tropical trees and crystal blue waters. Not, travelling around England in her father's 88' Beetle with her suddenly money conscious husband.

Ambrosia is used to the finer things in life with her Chanel handbags and champagne breakfasts. Only her husband, Enzo, wants to show her you can have a good time without the expense.

Ambrosia can think of nothing worse than being stuck on a farm with ankle biting sheep or camping outside because the B&B they booked have decided on a last minute revamp.

But, Enzo is determined for them to enjoy themselves. Telling her, it's time for them to settle down and go back to his family life in the country.

Determined to be a loyal wife to her new husband, Ambrosia embraces the change even if that means welcoming Enzo's nature-loving ex-Fiancée into their lives with open arms.

When strangers from completely different backgrounds get married... -- Shifting as the cool breeze toyed with my senses, I sighed at my husband standing so far away, leaning against the yacht's railing and drowning out the world behind him. He didn't want to be here. He didn't want to introduce me as his wife and have to deal with social disapproval. In the world of upper-class snobs and elites, I was a complete outsider...an unwanted addition. I had no place among the rich, no way to make many accept my crass and clumsy ways. My husband hated me, and his family was all ready to make him move on to a lady who would match his standard. I simply was an ignored wife, a wounded reject and a lonely fool. -- Sweet and friendly Maya could never repay the favours bestowed upon her by the great ladyship of Naveria 'Madam Geena'. That 70-year-old woman had not only treated her like a daughter, given her shelter and a well-paying job when she first arrived at Hill City to earn for her family but was also her wisest mentor. However, with favours comes expectations, and Maya just couldn't say no when Madam Geena asked her to marry her spoiled grandson 'Demir', tame his rakish ways, and adopt the ways of the rich. It was a heartbreaking offer. Demir wasn't known for dealing with people below his class, but Maya really didn't have a choice. Madam Geena meant the world to her. Thus, after getting married to a rich spoiled brat, feeling her heart melt with fondness and watching as he completely ignored her existence and humiliated her ways, Maya was soon to realize that despite belonging to different worlds and having their own reasons for choosing to get married, both she and her husband were hurting in their own ways. Their worlds might have been completely different, but they both were equally miserable, lonely and broken. (Featured on Wattpad Chicklit's Reading List)

Love. It was infuriating yet strangely addicting. It swirls in unknown waters, testing its limits before striking. The sensation of its claws digging into your flesh was all it took for it to become entranced. And then everything collapsed. Everything began to untangle. Everything slowly crumbled to ground. Everything began to fall apart. And you found yourself in the centre of it all, your hands cradling your heart as tears trickled down your cheeks, the salty liquid creating a dark patch on your jeans as it hit the soft fabric. You're vulnerable. You're scared. You're hurt. You're broken. But when you finally have the courage, to wipe away an trace of a broken heart. When you finally lift yourself from the dark pit you had created. When you finally patch together the remnants of your shattered soul. When you finally close your eyes. When you forget. When you become invincible. When you finally heal. It all comes back. Everything. Like an arrow that had been shot in your back, your eyes widening from the unforeseen attack. That's what happens. Because love is dirty. Love was the ugly, ever changing shadow that would snarl at you, jeering at your pitiful state. But then it was also the beautiful stroke of the paintbrush, as the brush winded across the canvas, the colours flourishing into life. Love was a demon, yet also an angel in disguise. That was love. _____________________________________ [ WARNING ⚠ : I wrote this as an inexperienced pre-pubescent so prepare for a cringefest.
