🏅Featured in @fright's Reading List 'Top Horror Stories' *Sequel of Cries* Amana Lincoln didn't know if she fell in love with that hot mess of a woman called Anna Rae Walker as soon as the first time she saw her... But she certainly felt something inside her. Anna's entry in Amana's life changed a lot... It made her accept her homosexuality. It pushed her to come out of the closet. And it certainly reduced all the weight on her shoulders. But did it also put Amana's brother in a hospital bed? Did it also plant phobias in her father's mind? Did it also cause fear and chaos at her hometown? The power of a tormented soul is greater than any known force in the world. It will come to you and pay you back in spades. Do you dare to see what happens when you torture a soul? The dates match. Everything added up. How could I not realize it? The bodies. The charges. The gossip. The rumours. The accuracy. The deaths. Every single body went missing. They were right, I should have listened. I knew something was weird, but not this bad. Church on Sundays, book club on Mondays, Bible study on Wednesdays, their kids' games on Tuesdays and Thursdays, Charity donations on Fridays, and dates on Saturdays. I guess its true what they say. The biggest monsters don't hide in the darkness of your closet. Instead, they smile in your face in broad daylight. The worst demons don't conceal themselves in your shadow. They thrive in the light. The darkest souls own the brightest smiles. A light so captive, you don't even realize they've gotten so close. Don't even realize when you've befriended them and their darkness has touched you. So, Sometimes, to find the ugliest monster, you have to look in the mirror. P.S, the tags should serve as a warning as well. This story is my own, which means I own the characters, plot, etc. However, I did get some inspiration from James Patterson's WOMEN'S MURDER CLUB, just with a slight twist ;)
