Grace

Over the past two years, twenty-one-year-old Tessa has been struggling to shove the pieces of her life back together. It's not an easy task, given that her mother is an alcoholic mess, her father is dead, the rest of her family is determined to pretend she, her mother, and her younger sister, Grace, don't exist, and feels like she's drowning in the responsibilities that come with adulthood without having her parents there to help her.

But Tessa can deal. She has Grace, and that's all she needs to survive.

When Grace starts dating Julia, a charming and pretty girl from her physics class, Tessa is overjoyed for her. She loves that Grace is happy, despite the pain life has inflicted.

But then Julia breaks Grace's heart, and everything falls apart.

Now, Grace is gone. She's locked away in St. Montgomery's, a mental hospital, and the doctors keep saying she's delusional; that her entire relationship with Julia was a lie.

But Tessa knows better. And with each day that she sees Julia around campus, a boy on her arm as she laughs with her friends, she feels a surge of rage. This girl destroyed the last good thing she had in her life. She can't just sit back and watch her get away with it.

Julia needs to pay.
