Amanda is a depressed girl. She has suicidal thoughts some days and some days she says she's fine but she's not. It's a pattern that has happened to her since her dad died in a car accident a few years back.

Don't even get me started on what school is like. She has no friends, her IQ is not high like others, so she's confused and sad most days. Amanda is a pretty girl, but no one tells her she is. Not even her own mother.

Mothers are supposed to encourage their children's self confidence. It's what mothers do without thinking. But her mom never really liked her. Her dad was the one to replace the negatives with positives. But when he died, she died too. Not physically, but mentally.
