After being trapped in the shadowzone, and watching the mech he dedicated his existence to end the war before leaving, he was at a loss of what to do. Of what he SHOULD do.
Seeing Cybertron being rebuild slowly made him feel something he swore he would never feel before- a sense of no purpose.
But now deciding to make himself useful once more, he decides to leave the shadowzone and help rebuild Cybertron.
Something ends up going wrong which leaves him unconscious and in a different world.
Not knowing what to do, he decides the only thing he can do is to help humanity from their brink of extinction until he can find a way to return to Cybertron.
That is, IF he will ever manage to return to the planet that may forsake him.
And if the natives on the unknown planet are willing to help him considering his past.
