All Violet knew was that her life made just enough sense before her mate came into it. She wasn't always content , but she had responsibilities to ensure herself a comfortable future. Life has a way of interrupting your plans though. It's especially inevitable when some goddess thinks that your meant to be with an Alpha who is the essence of the part of your life you're the least comfortable with. It kind of has a way of forcing a she-wolf into being content with her current life.

Violet inhaled deeply again the scent hitting her like a bat meeting a ball, powerful and splintering. A male was standing in the doorway. The wolf whimpered loudly as if in pain to him.
"Alpha Maverick, I'm sorry, if you could please step out for a moment. We're having family issues. Is there something you need?"
"Her," the male said, and the air ejected itself from Violet's lungs at the sound of his deep, gravelly voice, which held power and command with ease. The force of the Alpha male in him making Violet nearly incapable of stopping her wolf from coming out and saying hi.
Kara moved and the world swayed and blurred to Violet the way it had when she experienced her first change. The Alpha took a step toward the young wolf as the world began to tilt, and the darkness no longer clung to edges, but its tides washed over her entire vision.
