Raised By Wolves

Taylor Blake became a name the world forgot. Her parents, the Alpha and Luna of the Silver Moon pack, died in a rogue attack. Everyone assumed she did too. All alone and lost at a young age, Taylor finds home with a pack of wild wolves. They become her new family, teaching her the primitive ways of life. The figure approached from behind the bushes, breaking sticks and crunching gravel with each step. The figure, now out of the brush, is a man. He stood very tall with broad shoulders and blonde hair, almost like mine. He screamed power and just his presence made my hairs stand on end. He approached me slowly, his hands out in front of him. I take a step back, the cool water of the creek engulfs my feet, then my ankles with my next step. My hands get covered in the wet sand, but I stay on fours, refusing to stand. "No, no. Don't be afraid. I'm not here to hurt you." His voice is a whisper. I tilt my head, but my heart still pounds in my chest. His movements are slow, as to not scare me. Snail like, he crosses the fallen tree onto the sand of the creek, probably ten feet from me. His shoes crunch the tiny rocks in the sand. My heart hammers in my chest, but when his scent reaches my nose it involuntarily calms me. He smells like something, something good, but I can't tell what. I start to take a step forward as to get a better sniff, but stop in my tracks. "It's okay. You can come close. I won't hurt you."
