Supernatural beings have taken over the world enslaving the human race killing who ever defies them. The top dogs are the werewolves. Second top would be the vampires.
Harmony Jacobs has been locked in her house for the past 5 years. She's now 16 years old. She was a bubbly, enthusiastic girl, but now she's emotionless and quiet. She has, or had, special powers. No one else has ever had them before. She was able to willingly bend water into whatever she wanted.
Her best friend, Melody Johnson, was just like her. She controlled fire, earth, and air. Melody is now dead because of Harmony. At least that's what Harmony thinks. That's what everyone thinks. Harmony, believing she's dead and it's all here fault, leads herself to severe depression and anorexia.
Finally, she is planning to escape what her life has become. Will she be able to succeed or will she fail? Why is she locked away? Is Melody still alive?

“I tucked my light brown hair behind my ear and placed on my warm, light blue winter jacket and headed for the woods. He was here, breathing down my neck, yet not here at all. I felt his presence consume me, yet I felt nothing. The cold air whipped into my face and I looking into the July snow. “Whitney,” the spirits whispered. He was here.” What happens when one era ends and another begins? Whitney woke up from her afternoon nap when her best friend Sarah called. Apparently, the world was ending, despite the obvious knowledge it wasn't, and Sarah wanted to party. Whitney was always the third wheel when it came to Sarah and her boyfriend Jack, and was really not up for it, but she threw on some clothes and met them at the beach. Whitney met them, and after hours of torture, ran away from them after almost drinking cow blood. On her run, she saved lives and saw the world beginning to change. She ends the escape at Courtney's house, a local teen, who was drunk with her best friends. Unfortunately, the Ouija board "joke" turned into a true spell that slowly caused the human race to disintegrate and the rise of supernatural beings to become a reality. Harmony Maddison, the average werewolf 15 year old going onto 16, at this time she is supposed to shift, but didn't. Her pack- her family become bullies and she feels like she's been degraded to the omega, until one day, a small group of 3 new were wolfs show up at her school to whisk her away to a happier place, or so they thought. A murderous pack trespassed onto their land and took one after another down, soon enough, Harmony was surrounded by blood of her friends, lifeless bodies surrounded her. She was kept alive but not for pleasant reasons as the alpha of the murderous pack, Alpha Dominic decided to keep her as a punching bag for his anger. She becomes malnourished, weak and mute. After about 2 and a half years of dealing with this Alpha Dominic someone whisks her away again as her second mate as she was rejected before. They have their ups and downs but nothing is compared to what they have in stored, the new roller coaster they must ride to have a happily ever after, if you can call it that. I know the book starts slow, that's how I wanted it to be, to build to the exciting parts. It may be a drag, I know but it'll be worth it when the book speeds up with the roller coaster that Harmony has to ride, so to speak. Give it time and it'll spike your interest. She finds herself determined to escape his grip in any way possible, even if it means doing what he wants and pretending to like it. And as more time goes on, Max seems to be further taken by her, doing everything to try and mend bridges to get her to stay. But, she can't become complacent; that's how people die. She's found herself deep into the underbelly of life others don't know, where laws are not the same, where people are not the same. Surrounded by a pack of gun runners, thieves and murderers, she starts to question if she could ever go back to her old life.
