****PROLOGUE****
It was as if I was watching a movie on silent....a woman stands amongst bloody and deformed bodies scoured around her feet. She appears to be in deep pain with multiple injures over her entire body, her mouth covered with dripping blood. Her eyes, burning a blazing blue, flash purple and red as she glares at a tall man who also has a severe amount of injures. Though the muted movie never shows the face of the dark and mysterious man, they seem to be in a deep and spiteful conversation. Suddenly, a blue spark streaked with purple and red rockets from the woman's hand and strikes the man on the chest, making him stumble and fall backwards, hitting his head hard on the concrete. He stills as if too shocked to move. A minute seems to pass as the woman watches the still man on the floor. Shock and regret dawns on her face as her eyes grow large. She turns and runs, fading into the darkness. I still can't see the man's face, but I do see his hand twitch. I watch the hand twitch again and again. The man's hand then reaches up and goes to grab something. I look to see what he grabs for, but before I can I feel a tug on my wrist, and I scream as my arm is almost ripped out of it's socket. I see the man's eyes for split second and then I'm swallowed by the dark abyss. Falling....falling...falling.

*Book 3 of Reuniting The Council Series* Maya once was a slave to rogues, all her life in fact. But one day that all changed. The day that Crystal showed up, taking Maya away from her horrible life. Crystal takes Maya on a journey, keeping who she really was a secret. And keeping on the move the whole time a secret also. Little taste of the book :)~~~Walking down several halls, I finally come to the metal door of the dungeons. Walking through, power flows off of me in waves of bone chilling darkness, all of those pathetic little prisoners cower away back into the corners of their cells like smart little rats, except two. "I will never bow to you ever again!" Yells Maya. "Neither will I!" Shouts Crystal Chuckling, "Well sooner or later, little heirs. You will bow to me. It may not be today, possibly not even tomorrow, but you never know. My methods are extremely effective. Especially when it comes to such...breakable little participants. I'm sure you'll both be more than willing." I give them a toothy grin, oh how I can't wait to hear their screams, the cracking of their bones, the dripping of their blood as they submit and remember who is truly in charge of this world. Of them. "I WILL NEVER BOW TO YOU! YOU SICK BASTARD! LOOK WHAT YOU DID TO YOUR OWN BROTHER! HE'S ON HIS DEATHBED! RIGHT AS WE SPEAK! WE'VE ESCAPED YOUR MEN AND WE CAN DO IT AGAIN!" Crystal full on screams out at me, close to tearing her throat raw from shouts.~~~ What is Crystal keeping a secret? But the real question is, who is Maya? She has no last name, so who is her family? Where will their adventures take them? You never know until the end. Don't be surprised if their comes a twist plot! :D This series will go between different super naturals views. Through there journeys until the last book which, I wont uncover until later on.

Ariella's biggest desire in life has always been such a simple one. She wants to be 'normal.' Unfortunately, that one simple wish has never been within her grasp. Coming from a long line of witches is bad enough, but she's even more different than the rest of her family. The fact that no one will give her any answers to why she's so different doesn't help matters. Her entire existence is shrouded in secrets that everyone around her refuses to reveal. After a family tragedy, she moves to a new town, and she gets her first chance to at least pretend to be 'normal.' For the first time, she's allowed to leave the house and go to an actual school. She makes friends, and she develops her first crush, that's quickly followed by her second. She's finally living the normal teenage life she'd dreamed of, but it doesn't last. Everything she believed about herself and the world around her is changed in an instant. Family secrets come to light one after another, turning her entire world upside down in the process. She quickly realizes that sometimes ignorance really is bliss, and maybe she didn't really want to know the answers to the questions she'd always asked, especially when one of these truths causes people close to her to turn their backs on her without hesitation. Before she can even recover from the shock, she's thrust into a war that she hadn't even known existed. Loyalties will be tested. She'll have to choose sides between all of the people she's come to care about. Will she stand with her family, her new friends, or the two boys who both hold a piece of her heart? One thing is for sure. She'll have to let go of her dream of 'normal.'

WARNING: EXCERPT ONLY! "And you smell delicious too." He whispered beside my ear. "Like honey and cinnamon were mixed to create a scent so irresistible. Do you know these two combined are great for the immune system?" He hummed against my neck, sending goosebumps all over my skin. "Fuck you." I managed to get out, glancing at him behind me. I felt his lips tilt up in a smile against my neck before he moved up to nibble at my earlobe. "That'll be nice." He chuckled in a deep sexy voice that rumbles from his chest to my body. "But some other time. Now..." His hot tongue comes out to lap at my neck in slow strokes. I bit down on my bottom lip to stop the moan that was about to break free. "I'm hungry." He darkly announced. Jocelyn, born from a witch family, had no powers making her an outcast among witches. She is determined to make it through life on her own, but then she runs into Sebastian, a vampire who develops a sudden interest in her and has a strange addiction to her blood. "Maybe that's why I was gifted with this power!" I screamed at her, but she laughed in return. "Oh, honey. Your powers aren't a gift. It's a curse."

He smiled. The devil himself couldn't have crafted a more wicked grin. "What do you say we play a game, little Reaper?" I narrowed my eyes, trying to decipher his intentions. "What kind of game?" His grin widened, showing the tips of his fangs. I watched the prince curiously as he strode over to his bag. With a swift motion, he withdrew a bow and a quiver of arrows, flinging them at my feet without so much as a second glance. I furrowed my eyebrows, casting him a look of uncertainty. That sinister grin stayed plastered upon his lips as he said, "Run." *** I, Skyla Ashforth, am what some might call a "sociopath." It was a title that fit. Why shouldn't I embrace it? I am a vampire slayer, a Reaper of bloodsuckers, and an exceptionally good one, if I do say so myself. Yes, being a sociopath has its perks; I could manipulate and deceive with the best of them. So, when captured by the notorious Red Prince, I embraced the challenge of manipulating my freedom. Pierce Darcee, was a sadistic vampire with a God complex. The fool actually believed he could break me. Little did he know, I was the kind of Reaper who would dance through a battlefield, whistling a merry tune as I twirled my braids. I relished the challenge of manipulating his oversized ego, planning to stab that rotting, blackened heart of his with a venom-laced dagger. I crafted a scheme so delightful, so intricate, that I couldn't help but salivate at the prospect of victory. It was foolproof, or so my mind believed. But then... then there was that pull. That unexpected, unwelcome spark that ignited something within me. Feelings, of all things! Now, that was a complication. Disgusting, messy feelings that could very well lead to my destruction. Or his. It was a dangerous game we played, but then again, the most thrilling ones usually are. *Rated M for Murder, Mayhem, and some profanity. Sorry but no smutty interludes. You've stumbled into a blood bath, not a bodice ripper.*
