Melissa was a nobody. Her parents abuse her everyday when they drink. She is constantly bullied at school. The only bright thing about everything is she has one good friend who understands her completely. Then one night that all changes. A vampire chooses her as his prey, but then lets her change into on of the dead instead. Now she has to learn to live without harming everyone she meets. Especially her one and only friend. She'll have to give up everything, which means she will forever be alone.
