Being a Paramedic was a hard job. You never really know what you signed up for until you were already in the center of it. Risking your own life sometimes to save someone else's. It was exhausting. But incredibly fulfilling. I had many choices. My mum, bless her, wanted me to become a model. She always flipped through those magazines and pointed at a guy advertising a cologne of some kind. My dad however always expected me to take over his business. He sold the new top-notch medical equipment and owned himself a few very big hospitals. He wasn't someone I wished to be. I made that clear when I graduated from university with a Ph.D. in paramedical sciences. I loved medicine, and all that came with it. What I didn't like was the hospital environment. I felt my expertise lie somewhere more in the field. First hand. I wanted to be the first one on scene. And I certainly was for a young girl with a head injury. Anna.
