We lie. We are human. We hide the truth and keep secrets. Whether it's telling a story that isn't true, saying something about someone that isn't true, or pretending to be someone we aren't, it's human nature. And we are human. -Eleanor Mason.

This book is currently under a great deal of construction. I am switching it over to third person and editing it. The new version will be posted seperately. Here is the link: http://www.wattpad.com/35462608-behind-the-mask-edited-version-1-break-in _________________________________ 'Don’t you want to know Stayton’s darkest secret?' He taunts; his voice filled with every ounce of persuasion. It’s like he’s dangling an apple in front of my eyes, an apple with all the answers and he’s just waiting for me to reach out and take it. 'I can tell you.' He whispers inside my head; taunting and teasing even more. ____________________ Bethany Cooper lived in the small town of Prince George with her mother and father but wasn't a happy little family. Bethany has a secret, a secret she didn't want anyone else to know but when four men steal her from her bed one night claiming that they know her secret and that they want to help her she doesn't know whether to believe them, especially since the leaders right hand man, Stayton, is a jerk and doesn't feel guilty about hurting her to get the job done. She considers running but when they tell her of two people who really do want to hurt her she doesn't know who to believe. Them? Or her conscious? Can Bethany learn to trust them so she can learn the full brunt force of her secret? Or run? And what happens when she finds out they have a secret of their own which they aren't willing to share? And to top it all off what happens when unwanted feelings show up in unwanted places?

****THIS IS A SEQUEL. To be able to follow this story, please read "Unravelling" first**** Lily has started into the new year with a mixture of confusion, curiosity, anticipation - and dread. Ever since her oldest brothers revealed some of the truth about their family's past, the 12-year-old soon-to-be-teenager is struggling to come to terms with all the new and partially heart-breaking information. For the first few months of the year, Lily has tried to stay true to her word and not dig any further into their past, at least not until Alex, her guardian, is willing to share more details with the younger kids. However, Lily's patience is slowly running out. So many things are occupying her mind. She is convinced that there is still a lot more to discover about her family, and she is not willing to wait much longer. What is their father's story and can she locate him? How did her sister die? When will she see Finn again? Why is Sean really moving back home? And what is the reason behind her brothers' weirdly secretive behavior? With the help from her friends and some of her siblings, Lily continues her journey of gradually unravelling her family's secrets. Will she be successful? Will the implications of her discoveries slowly dissolve her family or is she able to save these fragile relationships before it is too late? Join Lily once again as she juggles school, friends, family (meetings), the general challenges of growing-up, creepy stalkers, some tragedies and maybe even her first encounter with something akin to a crush in these rather eventful months of her life.

Confined to the family's estate since birth, three sisters have never seen the outside world. Taught they are unable to leave home due to their long hair, Lexi, Lulu, and Fia secretly envy their volatile father and narcissistic mother whose short locks allow them to come and go whenever they wish. Raised believing their grandparents live in the TV set, the young women's knowledge about the outside world is skewed. On the eve of Fia's eighteenth birthday, life as they know it is altered when the girls find a young man unconscious in their yard. Believing he is an angel, they hide him in the guest house. Soon Fia's feelings for the man bloom and she finds herself sneaking to the guest house to be with him. When the lies the sisters have been told begin to unravel, Fia decides she will do whatever it takes to escape. The only thing holding her back is her long dark hair. Dogtooth x Rapunzel x The Castle of Purity Warning for abuse, swearing, romantic themes, alcohol addiction, blood, and typical Christine darkness. There is no SA.
