The Invisible Elf

Found among Albus Dumbledore's belongings, preceding his untimely death, a letter was found.

Having never reached its destination, it is published here as historical evidence of a dark, troubling past from the wizarding world.

It is to be noted that there are no records of Umbra, the author of this letter, having lived or served as a house-elf in London. In fact, there are no records of her at all. She exists now only through the words she has written for us, and the often under-represented struggle elves faced and continue to face today.

Let her story be a lesson to all of us still prejudiced and living within the darkness of our hearts to choose to walk within the light of righteousness.
