This is the story about Kyla Warren and her 8th grade lover, Jake Berry. He was the star basketball player and she was a cheerleader. She thought she loved him even though she never really talked to him. They exchanged glances with one another every once in a while but nothing would prepare her for what would happen that year, her first heartbreak.

When love surfaces, one will have to make a decision if love is more important than a game. With every decision there is a consequence. *Background Information* Jayde and Ryan have had chemistry since 6th grade, you know the kind. They had 5 classes together, and serious feelings for each other the whole way through. It was a roller coaster ride like anything else. They flirted, played sports together, the whole bit. In seventh grade they weren't as close.
