Sierra has only ever been able to count on herself. She's grown up without a father and a mother who loves her and means well but isn't always around. She knows you can't always count on people and that the people you love always hurt you in the end. She's in college now and she's one step closer to the life she's always envisioned for herself. 

But this is college and life is unpredictable, she's going to have to learn that depending on people, just a little, isn't always a bad thing. With some parties, a few embarrassing moments, a little romance and an interesting group of friends, she's going to find out that maybe the world she's fantasized about her whole life isn't actually what she wants.
