He was sitting next to me. By "he" I mean the bane of my existence- why everything's gone to shit.
The awkward tension was piling up between us, and I used the last of my willpower to scoot over to the other side of the couch, farther from him.
He shot a quick glance towards my direction, but quickly turned back to avoid being noticed.
Except I noticed, because I could never not notice the tiny details about him.
Because I love him.
And he doesn't love me.
