Almost Honest
"The last thing Laney wants is to be seen. Not really seen." After running from a past she refuses to talk about, Laney is just trying to keep her head down and survive senior year. New town, new school, new friends-none of them know the truth, and she plans to keep it that way. But secrets don't stay buried forever, especially when you have a best friend who won't stop pushing, a flirt who sees past your walls, and a past that refuses to let go. Between late-night skate park meetups, whispered fights, and a tension she doesn't know how to name, Laney realizes that sometimes, hiding hurts more than being seen. And Aiden? He's making it a lot harder to hide.

No doubt, eyes never fail to deliver the messages of the heart, but sometimes opening up gradually on every wonderful occasion can be more vivid. Bright and I always had something between us that I never talked about until I went to university this semester. This time, the unspoken between us was no longer unspoken. It was all 'said' gradually. Thanks to my friends who pushed me out of my comfort zone and, of course, Bright played a vital role.
