I wrote this play for a man. Our long-distance relationship seemed like Romeo and Juliet's balcony scene. The story is based on the original Shakespearean work, but I tried to make it deeper to capture and cherish all of the moments we shared together. The play is full of metaphors, so don't take everything literally. Mostly, it is about my insecurities regarding the long-distance aspect, and the play actually came before we were able to see each other in real life. POEM COMPILATION *** Under the gaze of the moonlight, The stars asked three people that night, "What will you give in exchange for my light?" The doctor answered, "I'll give you my sight, So you will see the world in someone's eyes." The teacher said, "I'll offer you my wisdom, So you will build knowledge in your kingdom." The last one who talk only seldom, Stared at the stars with a lonely smile, "I am a poet, and I will not lie, I cannot give you a sight, nor I can be wise, I have nothing in my life but sadness only, So I offer you the RHYMES OF MY MELANCHOLY."
