18 November, 2024 The 10K Nanowrimo i wish I woulda submitted when I was 14. Told in 4 parts, this is an unedited, first draft literary story bordering on poetic style prose. There are elements of psychological, general, teen, and horror. This isn't a cautionary tale, it's just a tale. Some that one can relate to. It's hard to trust people, especially the ones who make you feel really good really fast. But you must have discernment in this life or there'll be consequences. M is your Northern California bred protagonist who has a plethora of friends sandwiched in her daily routine. She's just like you, she works, she drinks after work, she goes home. But then there's a guy....there's always a guy isn't there? This is how she and her small universe copes.Concluida
CYCLE BUDDIES
20 year Jackie Foster is having it hard finishing high school and trying business starting up a florist shop which flopped in two weeks because her neighbor started one and everyone loved it more because it was offering free meals for first 15 people on Friday night. She tried college but flunked all her classes and had dropped out returning back to her parents house residing in the basement - because her mother had long turned her childhood bedroom to her in house bakery shop which was booming business- She has just 200 dollars to her name and barely existing until a job offer to take care of a 45 year old disabled man. It was a ray of light to place her life back on track. It was a good pay but it was affecting her mental because he was actually a grumpy old man... with beautiful face and physique and was doing what said man shouldn't be doing.

"You were worried about me, Specs?" He smirked. "No, Tyler. I hoped that someone cut up your corpse and fed it to paranas. Obviously I was, you idiot! I'm a doctor. Worrying about people is kind of programmed into my system. It's a curse if you ask me," I surprised myself a lot more than I thought was possible with my answer. And what did he do? Laugh! The walk of adulthood has 3 rules. You can't back out. You have to finish. And most importantly of all, you must survive it. Walking into college is much easier when your past isn't kissing you goodbye. All your life has come up to this. Elementary prepares you for middle school. Middle school teaches you something close to the misery of high school. High school is the last acceptable happiness you will ever have. High school was the preview of college. If you eat all your popcorn in the preview, being in the movies won't reach up to the standards. If your popcorn fell, you're done. If you didn't buy the popcorn, you'll be stealing it from your friend. After all, this is FIU. Most of the people here left their lives back wherever their home was.
