Everything--every choice, every action--is done for a reason.

Have you ever dreamed of waking up in a world distant, in so many ways, from your own? For teenagers, like Ryuuki and Asuka, on the cusp of adulthood, this is certainly the case. Mysteriously, the pair find this dream fulfilled by a prophetic diary in Asuka's possession, that guides her towards meeting Ryuuki and venturing into this new world.

After being given an unexpectedly dangerous welcome, their latent potential surfaces. Ryuuki soon discovers that this potential is of interest to the wrong kind of people. He must remain vigilant of this, but what if they were to latch on to their existence? Would he have to quell their malicious intent at the source?

Gifted with a forbidden aptitude for magic, how will Ryuuki overcome the sequence of events now facing him in this monarchical society who threaten to disturb the peace once more?

Life can be bitter-sweet when teaching us lessons; only when it takes something from us, do we truly realise its ephemeral beauty.
