Sara Larken lives in a world divided between two kinds of witches: Pures and Demis. These two kinds despise each other so they have a border and stay well away from it, however they have always been on the brink of war, and now the tension is so high that war seems inevitable, and it will start soon.
Sara is a Pure who grew up near the border with a mother who taught her not to hate Demis just because of a difference in blood. Sara didn't, not until her first failure, which forced her to flee north to the capital of the Pure nation in order to become the most notorious assassin in both Pure and Demi, so she became known as the Purified Hunter.
Now, Sara has been imprisoned in the most secure prison of Demi, and is tortured daily for information she will never give. After weeks of whipping her, the Demis finally gave up, and have set a date for her execution. Sara is ready to die, but with the help of a familiar face from her past she manages to escape, but not without injuries.
This familiar face, memories from the past, and stories she finds may help Sara remember why she never cared about the difference between Pures and Demis before. This story will lead you through the past that changed Sara into a monster and how she faces the monster and relearns all her mother's lessons about hatred, with an epic romance and daring escapes.

Unfortunately, this causes many problems for his social life since his family's reputation precedes him and makes it so no one will talk with him. He is worried it will make his greatest fear come true. He is terrified he is on the path to becoming evil like his parents. Then, one day at school he gets an invitation from Cassiopeia's School for the Gifted. Sure he's heard of it, but only in rumors. The school is just for magical creatures to learn more about themselves and their history. It was made over three hundred years ago and still run by a fairy named Cassiopea and her daughter Cassia. Arion is excited to go because his parents refuse to teach him anything about other magical creatures other than dark magic. They believe it is irrelevant for him to know because they think he will take over the world one day. And why should a leader know anything about his subjects? Arion convinces his parents that if he goes to the school he can do recon on the other magical people so he can learn about them and make it easier for him to take over. With no friends, no siblings, and a very negative outlook on life, he heads to Cassiopeia's School for the Gifted.
