Sara Larken lives in a world divided between two kinds of witches: Pures and Demis. These two kinds despise each other so they have a border and stay well away from it, however they have always been on the brink of war, and now the tension is so high that war seems inevitable, and it will start soon.
Sara is a Pure who grew up near the border with a mother who taught her not to hate Demis just because of a difference in blood. Sara didn't, not until her first failure, which forced her to flee north to the capital of the Pure nation in order to become the most notorious assassin in both Pure and Demi, so she became known as the Purified Hunter.
Now, Sara has been imprisoned in the most secure prison of Demi, and is tortured daily for information she will never give. After weeks of whipping her, the Demis finally gave up, and have set a date for her execution. Sara is ready to die, but with the help of a familiar face from her past she manages to escape, but not without injuries.
This familiar face, memories from the past, and stories she finds may help Sara remember why she never cared about the difference between Pures and Demis before. This story will lead you through the past that changed Sara into a monster and how she faces the monster and relearns all her mother's lessons about hatred, with an epic romance and daring escapes.

Arion convinces his parents that if he goes to the school he can do recon on the other magical people so he can learn about them and make it easier for him to take over. With no friends, no siblings, and a very negative outlook on life, he heads to Cassiopeia's School for the Gifted. This book is about a young witch, who was always taught ever since she was a kid, to be scared of Vampires. Vampires and witches have been enemy's for centuries. The young witch Phoenix observed a certain vampire for years, who was torturing the innocent. She was not obeying the rules. When being a vampire, you only are allowed to feed on the ones who murder. If a human has murdered someone, then they deserve to die themselves. So the society of the supernatural made the rule to only feed on the guilty. The witches in this society are supposed to protect the humans of the innocent and keep the vampires and werewolves in line. Only because of this the vampire's dislike the witches and now there is a war between them. Phoenix is trying to do her job and protect the innocent, only this certain vampire has gone on a killing spree, and won't stop. And definitely doesn't care what some little old witch says, and every time she tries to kill her she threatens to kill her family, starting with her mother. While reading this book you will learn, that witches were chosen to protect because even though vampires have the power to kill, witches are stronger. And phoenix will learn the ups and downs of a vampire and also learn to reunite both sides in order to defeat a common enemy. The only question is will she survive this nightmare.
