i started writing this at least six years ago, so my writing style has changed a lot since this. i never expected this to get just as much attention as it ended up getting. this is definitely not a slow burn, and yes, cringey as hell. i felt like if i deleted this i would be betraying my 7th grade self, so here it stays. hopefully someone else can enjoy reading it the way i originally enjoyed writing it.
