"Imogen screamed and dropped the book, as if it had burnt her. I ran over and she said coldly ' why don't you just search for a cure? It was your idea and you spend all of your time in the library fixing problems I don't have, and then try and waste my life in there too!' Imogen stormed off, but I stayed. She was nice without her bracelet but people avoided her with it on! It just didn't make sense. I walked over where her bracelet had fallen off, picked it up and held another book. Instantly it was as if I was stuck inside. Everything was so clear! It was as if the kids dancing in the meadows with a dog was really there! I took my hand away and noticed my wrist had red marks over it, as if I had been burnt..."
Grace loves reading. She loves it so much Grace prefers books to people. The new girl, Imogen, is nervous and wary of books and pictures. Her gold bracelet makes her see them like she was there. But sometimes she sees more than she is meant to and only Grace can stop it........
