AU, where all is advanced. Being born with an enchanted technique is rare, but to be born with powers you can use whenever you want to is Extremely rare, so rare one would keep it hidden. But after the invasion the commoners were wiped out.
  
  Species of all kind lived in harmony, or so they thought. Those who could not live up to the governments liking's are to be banished. Not everyone likes to be managed around but if not then where would one go? To be banished is a life sentence.
  One day when the walls tumbled down, explosions taking lives, and the land terrorized, only those who were strong enough survived the invasion. It was then that organizations formed. Survival a need, lives a gamble. Whatever was outside those walls, are hungry and have a plan to take back...what was theirs?

Long ago, there were cities where people had special abilities, far beyond what normal humans could do. For many generations, they protected their world from evil, standing strong and unbeatable. But one terrible mistake changed everything. Someone from within betrayed them, or maybe it was a spell gone wrong, or a promise broken. This mistake brought a powerful curse upon their people. The curse doomed the 20th generation of these guardians to die early and mysteriously, no matter how strong or special they were. This is the story as they try to keep their biggest darkest secret of what they are capable of and as they discover they're not the only ones like them... I am not very good at trigger warnings before individual chapters but there is mention of blood, cold abuse and parents divorcing. (But read at your own risk in case I mention something else. I am working on rewriting this story and when I do there will be the trigger warnings in the correct places.) (small teaser.) No one sees me. I am a ghost. I brush against the wooden fence. He and his older sister lived together, sticking to the dark alleys of their abandoned city, and survived for years after the apocalypse, until the Destroyers came and took her away, reigning terror on the few who remained in the city. The boy, desperate to find someone to help him save his sister, leaves the city and finds one of the youngest cooperative packs in North America, called the Raiders, comprised of unwanted individuals with the strange powers left from the destruction of years past. Their leader, a destructive insomniac, promises to help him in return for the skills and usefulness this young boy seems to possess, but something disrupting sends waves of unease through the Raiders, something about a forgotten past and talk of a mutiny. "Maybe there's more to life than just surviving." ... Rated C for Caution. Though it's rated mature, there is no bad language or vivid descriptions of sexual contact. It does have very strong themes.
