Her posture was rigid, even as the ceiling of the musty cell dripped water into her sunburst  mane. I sighed and stared back down at the cockroach near my foot. For as young as she looked, her nature was that of a brooding hen. By the way her shoulders shook, however, I assumed she was more of a snatchling.
