Many people believe that the blind are only those who can't see. They are wrong. Everyone is blind, in one way or another. Blindness comes in many forms. Those who are blind to the evils of the world are blind to reality. Those who are blinded by beauty are consequently blind to the fact that it comes with a price. And those who are blinded by light are also blind to the notion that it is accompanied by shadows. And though I must admit that I, too, was not above being blind. I knew the shadows all too well. My life was lead in the shadow of a wall; I was born shrouded in it, and if it were up to them, I would die the same way as well. The very moment I began to understand the world around me was the same moment it came crashing down. For at that moment, I realized that this wasn't my world. It was theirs. I had previously said that I was not immune to blindness. I knew I was different, but as they say, everybody is different for a reason. But I was blind to the fact that my reason was him. A Unordinary Vampire Tale
Everyone has heard of the classic stereotypical vampire love store. Powerful figurehead vampire male becomes attracted to young human female. At first they aren't attracted but as time goes on, they begin to fall madly in love. Then there is the story of a male vampire who has done unspeakable evils as a vampire and is eternally brooding and even though he can't help what he is, he tries to be the good, kind hearted lover for his human female. Or better yet, the female finds out her lover is a vampire and begs and pleads to be turned to live eternally young and thus tries everything in her power to become a vampire but the male vampire refuses to turn her so that she does not live a cursed life. After a mysterious man begins to befriend her while working at her job, a night of sex turns into the start of everything she thought she could handle into a whirlwind of challenges. It's easy to kill a person in the movies or in a book because it's fiction. But actually suck the life out of a living being and it be her new reality, that's a whole different ballgame. Nadine Burns must now learn to face being a Newborn vampire in a world where there is no kindhearted feelings and sunshine and rainbows. To top it all, she was turned by one of the most powerful vampire leaders in her city and must also learn how to parade around in vampire politics.Complete
