Abigael Fern is a Red Fox. She has been working in the police force for about 4 years. She hates it. Not the job, that's her favorite part. No, no, no, no, no. She hates the people, particularly her boss, Quintin. Being that she's a fox and also an Elemental - A regular animal, such as birds and dogs, but with the power to control certain basic elements, in this case, Fire - people tend to assume things about her. Such as stealing from the Local bakery, burning down a funeral home, and even killing her own parents. That last one was never believed.
Every job comes with its downfalls, such as not having a lot of time to yourself, or being able to get the things that you want. This was more than a downfall, this was falling off of the highest peak you are able to think of into a pit of rotton honey, and that doesn't even exist. The co-workers are a pain in the ass in general, but her boss is on a whole new level of injured genitalia. He's an Aviated Canine - also known as the "Flying Hound" - a dog with wings, they can be bird, bat, or dragon wings. Being that Abigail was a mythical creature and so was her boss, she thought she and her boss would get along as well as charcoal and fire. More like water and fire. Quintin despised Abigail and would always harrass her and embarass her in public, leaving her dumbfounded and absolutly livid.
Quintin, being Quintin , devised a plan to make Abigail crumple into a ball, blow into the wind, and never be let down by the wind that is scociety. He decided to get everyone a partner. He knows that Abigail hates working with other animals and creatures, so this should be a treat. But this partner has a suprise for all of us, including revealing a pretty shocking one about their dick-eating, son-of-a-bitch (quite litterally) monster-mutt known as their boss. What is it? Well, you'll just have to read this book to find out!
