Sweat, booze and hormonal stench was in the air.

This was the last night of Summer Camp and whilst I was glad to leave the days of messy DIYs and hot nights behind I was truly going to miss it.
Oh who am I kidding?

I'm going to miss Hunter Knight.
Sophomore hottie who every girl wanted to sleep with. To be fair, most girls have. Unless of course you are me: Olivia Clark
Short, tiny, boring.
I'm some gir.
Blending into the lockers. A plain jane.

Hey maybe that's what I should have called this blog. Plain Jane: An Exposition.

That's not the point though because that night I became one of those girls.

He looked at me with those smothering eyes and that perfect smile. Like seriously who looks that good? I know this is California and that everyone is suppose to look perfect but that boy is all natural perfection.

For crying out loud I wore braces for five years and my teeth are still crooked. I mean my dentist did say I had to wear my retainer everyday all day for a year. And well might have stopped wearing it within an hour of my appointment. But sue me I was proud of my new smile, I could finally kiss boys, not that any of them wanted me but that's not the point. And biggest of them all I could finally eat apples.

The point of all this is to emphasise the perfection that is Hunter Knight.

And yes I know I sound like such a twat but spare me okay? I'm a hormonal teenager. I mean my parents had me when they were teens it's like in my blood to be hormonal.

Anyways, back to that night.
He looked at me in all my Camp glory: drunk and a total mess, and he pointed towards the broom closet.
Tonight was the night I thought. Tonight was the night that I, Olivia Clark, would lose my virginity to Hunter Knight.

It's the last year of high school, and everything has changed . . . ***** After a summer spent in the Philippines, Lara Dela Cruz is eager to start her senior year and, most importantly, reunite with her three besties. But what she did not expect was to show up on the first day of school to all three of her friends now in relationships. Fighting for their attention, catching some new and confusing feelings for long-time frenemy James, and wading through the pressures of post-high-school plans all have Lara reeling. And to make matters worse, Lara's beautiful and untrustworthy cousin conveniently appears and wiggles her way right between her and James' budding relationship. Feeling like a third wheel in more ways than one, Lara must learn to accept that change is inevitable, love is complicated, and being the odd one out is sometimes where inner power is found.
