Nothing hides rot like ivy, no-one hides secrets like Iveagh. '"That-that's horrible, how could something happen to him? who would do such a thing to him? he was such a kind loving person!" I say injecting as much emotion into my voice and posture as I can feign. Barlow seems surprised by this. That's right Barlow old boy, you go on and tell your master that poor Kaine was absolutely devastated.' Kaine Karnevron has always been bound by the inheritance of his blood : madness, chaos and a corruption so seductive he finds it irresistible. After being disowned and shunned by his father Kaine turns to the darkest forms of alchemy in his pursuit of power. However the death of his half brother forces him back into the society he despises and into the middle of a much larger plot which draws from the past of his mother's infamous family. ' Vielan would be furious if I came down without his express permission. Apparently four hundred years has turned him into a paranoid.....man? vampire? Whatever it is and whatever his flaws are I am now indebted to him. The memory of waking in that strange cavern dressed in that awful gaudy dress is still unpleasantly vivid. I still can't believe it. Four hundred years! To me it feels like only hours have passed from the time I finally said goodbye to Alex.' Nushara Iveagh never expected to come back from the dead, certainly not years after her untimely passing, as part of a ritual which could have disastrous consequences. But someone has other plans and now she must navigate an uncertain environment and confront the failings of her past and present. Choices are rarely simple in a reality where good and evil blend seamlessly and Kaine and Nushara have many choices to make. While an unknown entity pulls at the strings governing their world and order gives way to chaos they must decide whether to resist or give in. For one ruin awaits, for the other redemption calls.

We are all half-human. Half-beast. But some of us are just monsters. + + + "Jace?" I meet his eyes. I hadn't expected this from him. I honestly hadn't expected him to do this in retaliation, "What have you done?" Sentinels. He let them know where I am. "He did the right thing." That voice. I freeze and let Jace slip through my trembling hands. I recognize that voice...and I recognize her presence. Turning around, one of the hooded guards steps forward. Her amber eyes flash, "You are a long way from home, Prophet Amelia." ... Five years have passed since Amelia was taken from Diurnal. Five years have passed since she started training at The Order. Now, she has returned. But she is no longer the same Wolf that left. In a race against Orion in a search for a missing relic to be used to destroy The Moon, Amelia must return to the places where those who betrayed her are. It is time to wrap up business left unfinished and settle unpaid debts. New alliances clash with old friendships-and it is not only Amelia beginning to question who the real enemy is. With the war between The Moon and Orion coming to light, the packs must choose which side of the conflict they want to be on. Many will begin to ask questions of their leaders and themselves-questions that Amelia had asked long before...and still searching for those answers. Time has changed and molded all, but not as much as Amelia. She reappears with far more secrets and truths than before-none of which the Wolves are ready for. The biggest: sometimes those who are good and those who are trusted are not mutually exclusive. The Prophet has returned, and these two worlds finally collide. + + + This is the third installation to a 4-part series.
