"I must admit that things between us had a great and beautiful start. Yet, a marriage later, it seems that none of the promises that we planted in those fields we created had flourished. You know, up until recently, the thought of writing a letter like this had never crossed my mind, and I can't tell you what's happened overnight, but I totally lost hope in trying to fix things with you. You don't know how painful it is for me to write this. My heart was so filled with love for you. Every mornings when I felt so lonely, it was still my heart that pushed me into loving you and believing that we could still rekindle the leftovers, but, unfortunately, it's also my heart that's making me say we are done. This has been coming on for a long time. We just don't communicate like we used to. We both knew how this would end. When you told me that you knew I do not love you anymore, you were wrong. You knew nothing because I never stopped loving you and never will. I want you to know that you deserve a person who will see you as I see you everyday, as the most incredible human being alive and a jewel that should be cherished and protected to allow it to shine. I am sorry I can't be that person for you. I know it's cliche but I hope that we can still be friends in some capacity.
