My sensitive hearing had brought me down here; to the more dangerous part of town. I had heard shouting and whimpering, and my curiosity had gotten the best of me. Now here I was, watching someone get mugged.
My eyes instantly landed on the victim, my nostrils flaring as I inhaled his scent.
I froze suddenly when I realized that I recognized that smell.
"Please! I don't have any money!" he cried, cowering in fear as the robber held a lethal weapon to his head.
"You're making this harder than necessary man. Give me your money or I shoot." the robber growled.
A certain sense of anger overwhelmed me when the man began beating the vulnerable human, who I just happen to know.
Without hesitation, I bolted forward, my fangs suddenly appearing.

**Book 2 titled Keep Me is up** The lights were off, all except the emergency light that flickered every now and then. I got chills just being here by my lonesome... at least I thought I were. "Only for the next hour and a half," I said, backing up as he moved closer. When I felt the doors of the closet pressed against my back, a couple of swears escaped my mouth and I knew that I had no other choice but to await his next move.
